The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable social media presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known backers as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically suggested to play and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better individual. He told me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly reaching the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
