Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A court order issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures expressed different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making controversial statements that were widely condemned by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and implied they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser should have acted when the choice to comment on the death was made.
