Barcelona to Host Inaugural Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
